OperationNormal PlayTo play a disc, first turn the HD720 onusing the Main Power Switch 1. If theunit has previously been turned on withthe Main Power Switch, but then turnedoff using the remote control, the StatusMode Indicator 2 will glow amber. Inthat case, the HD720 may be turned onusing the Power On button b on theremote control.To load a disc, first press the Open/Closebutton &, taking care to make certainthat the space in front of the drawer is notobstructed. Note that if the drawer isblocked when attempting to open it, it willautomatically close within five seconds toprotect the mechanism.Load the disc in the tray with the printed(label) side facing up. Make certain thatthe disc is centered in the tray. Either 5"or 3" discs may be used. When a 3" discis played, it should be carefully centeredwithin the smaller ridges inside thecassette drawer.To retract the drawer back into theplayer after loading a disc, press theOpen/Close button &.LabeledSurfaceAfter a brief pause, the InformationDisplay will show the total number oftracks on a disc and the total runningtime of the disc. The number of trackswill be shown in a large number withinthe display, and all of the available trackswill light in the smaller boxed numberindicators at the bottom of the display.NOTE: When there are more than 20tracks on a disc, the OVER › indicator willlight in the bottom right corner of thedisplay.NOTE: If a disc with CD-ROM data orother information that is not compatiblewith a CD player is used, the display willindicate NO AUDIO.When a mixed CD Audio and CD-ROMdisc is played, the HD720 will automati-cally bypass the data portion of the discand search for the CD Audio section.TOTALMIN SECTRACK1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12To play all of the tracks on the disc inorder, press the Play button 4 j. Aplay indication fl will appear in theInformation Display *.To play all of the tracks in random order,press the Random button # m. TheRANDOM indicator will light when thatmode is in use.You may also select a specific trackdirectly by entering the track numbervia the Numeric Controls c.Simply enter the track number by press-ing the buttons that correspond to thedesired track and the unit will automati-cally find it and begin play. Note thatwhen a two-digit track number is beingentered, the second digit of the numbermust be pressed within two seconds of thefirst digit.10
