To install the bezel, tilt the bezel and align the metal studs with the latches;then, straighten the bezel and snap it into place.Removing and replacing Tier 2 CRUsYou may install a Tier 2 CRU yourself or request IBM to install it, at no additionalcharge, under the type of warranty service that is designated for your server.The illustrations in this document might differ slightly from your hardware.BatteryThe following notes describe information that you must consider when replacing thebattery in the server.v When replacing the battery, you must replace it with a lithium battery of the sametype from the same manufacturer.v To order replacement batteries, call 1-800-772-2227 within the United States, and1-800-465-7999 or 1-800-465-6666 within Canada. Outside the U.S. andCanada, call your IBM marketing representative or authorized reseller.v After you replace the battery, you must reconfigure the server and reset thesystem date and time.v To avoid possible danger, read and follow the following safety statement.Statement 2:CAUTION:When replacing the lithium battery, use only IBM Part Number 33F8354 or anequivalent type battery recommended by the manufacturer. If your system hasa module containing a lithium battery, replace it only with the same moduletype made by the same manufacturer. Turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect the power cords andall external cables necessary to replace the device.3. Remove the top cover (see “Top cover and bezel” on page 113).4. Remove the 2 SAS signal cables from the I/O board.5. Remove the battery:a. Use one finger to press the top of the battery clip away from the battery.b.
