Select this choice to enable or disable the Hyper-Threading Technology and toselect the clustering technology settings.– PCI Slot/Device InformationSelect this choice to view system resources that are used by installedPCI/PCI-X devices. PCI/PCI-X devices are usually configured automatically.This information is saved when you exit. The Save Settings, RestoreSettings, and Load Default Settings choices on the Configuration/SetupUtility main menu do not save the PCI Slot/Device Information settings.This selection is only available when a Remote Supervisor II Adapter SlimLineis installed in the server.– RSA II SettingsSelect this choice to view and change Remote Supervisor Adapter II SlimLinesettings. Select Save Values and Reboot RSA II to save the changes youhave made in the settings and restart the Remote Supervisor Adapter IISlimLine.– Baseboard management controller (BMC) settingsSelect this choice to view information and to change baseboard managementcontroller (BMC) settings.- BMC firmware VerThis is a nonselectable menu item that displays the BMC firmware version.- BMC POST WatchdogEnable or disable the BMC POST watchdog. Disable is the default setting.- BMC POST Watchdog TimeoutSet the BMC POST watchdog timeout value. 5 minutes is the defaultsetting.- System BMC Serial Port SharingEnable or disable the system BMC serial port sharing. Enable is the defaultsetting.- BMC Serial Port Access ModeShare or disable the BMC serial port access mode. Shared is the defaultsetting.- Reboot system on NMIIf you enable this option, the server automatically restarts 60 seconds afterthe service processor issues a nonmaskable interrupt (NMI) to the server. Ifyou disable this option, the server does not restart. Enable is the defaultsetting.- BMC Network ConfigurationSelect this choice to view the BMC Network Configuration information.- BMC System Event LogSelect this choice to view the BMC system event log, which contains allsystem error and warning messages that have been generated. Use thearrow keys to move between pages in the log. If an optional IBM RemoteSupervisor Adapter II SlimLine is installed, the full text of the errormessages is displayed; otherwise, the log contains only numeric errorcodes. Run the diagnostic program to get more information about errorcodes that occur. See the Problem Determination and Service Guide on theIBM xSeries Documentation CD for instructions.
