205MEMORY CHANNELS■ Channel/bank namesChannel names of up to 8 characters and banknames of up to 5 characters can be programmed forconvenience. Programmed names can be easily cop-ied to other channels using the copy/paste function.q Select the desired memory channel.w Set the frequency (and mode/tuning steps), thenpush and hold the [MW] key.• When no data is programmed, “BLANK” appears andmemory names cannot be programmed.e Push [CE≈ • NAME].• A cursor appears at the first character space of thename area.r Enter the desired name via the keypad.• Push the appropriate keys to input the desired charac-ters.• To erase a character, overwrite with a ‘space’ using the[M-CH • ] key.• To move the cursor forwards or backwards, use the [•Ω]or [CE≈] key.t Push [ENT] to input the set name.q Select the desired bank using [M-CH • BANK▲] or[ENT • BANK▼].w Push [CE≈ • NAME].• A cursor appears at the first character space of thename area.• When no data is programmed, (“BLANK” appears)the cursor does not appear.
