45Previous view■ Cloning operationCloning allows you to quickly and easily transfer theprogrammed contents from one transceiver to another,or data between a personal computer and a transceiv-er, using the optional CS-V80 or CS-U80 cloning soft-ware.D Cloning between two transceiversq Turn OFF the power, and then connect the masterand sub-transceivers using the OPC-474 cloningcable through their speaker jacks.• The master transceiver is used to send data to the sub-transceiver.w While holding down [FUNC](M) and [Y], turn ON themaster transceiver to enter the cloning mode.• “CLOnE” appearse Turn ON the sub-transceiver.r Push [PTT] on the master transceiver.• “CL Out” appears on the master transceiver’s display, andthe signal icon shows that data is being transferred to thesub-transceiver.• “CL In” appears on the sub-transceiver’s display, and thesignal icon shows that data is being received from themaster transceiver.t When the cloning is finished, turn OFF both trans-ceiver's power, and then turn ON the power again toexit the cloning mode.NOTE:• DO NOT push [PTT] on the sub-transceiver duringcloning. This will cause an error.• DO NOT disconnect the cloning cable or turn OFFthe power during cloning.
