Part 1 - Getting Started24Advanced SettingsIn PTZ mode, selecting a camera and then clicking Menubutton loads the Advanced PTZ screen as shown below.You can load the Advanced PTZ screen also by pressingthe Play/Pause button and then SETUP button on thefront panel. This menu lists Speed, Auto Pan, and otheradvanced PTZ camera control options available for thecamera. Options that are not available for the selectedPTZ camera remain inactive.You can use the mouse to control PTZ cameras. Left-click on the mouse and drag to move the camera in thedesired direction and use the mouse wheel to zoomin/out.While in PTZ mode, place the mouse pointer close tothe bottom edge of the screen to display the PTZ Toolswindow.PTZ Camera Pan and TiltZoom In/OutFocus Near / FarIRIS Open / CloseOne PushSet / Move to PresetDevice Menu supportedby the camera• The exact PTZ protocol supported by the cameramust be specified in order to use the NVR's PTZcontrols.• Drag and drop to reposition the PTZ Tools window.• Select the icon to hide the PTZ Tools window.Event MonitoringWhen an event occurs, the NVR automatically displaysthe channel linked to the event and shows the iconon the system status area on the upper right portion ofthe screen. To use the Event Monitoring feature, navigateto Display Setup > OSD and enable Event Monitoring.Event Monitoring remains in effect throughout theentire Linked Recording Time. After that, the NVR willreturn to the previous screen if a new event does nottake place. Pressing the Layout or a Camera buttonbefore the end of the Linked Recording Time revertsthe system to Live mode.Covert CameraUse this feature to assign Covert Camera Viewpermissions.Navigate to Camera Setup > General and designatecameras as Covert 1 or Covert 2.● Covert 1: Hides images from the camera in Live modebut does indicate the camera’s title and status viaicons.● Covert 2: The camera is indicated as being inactive.Images from the camera are not shown.
