INSTRUCTIONS FOR USERazor™ Plus 24D-26D-28D / Razor™ Plus 24C-28C — 909 5428 000(2)2005-01 11Recovery water tank emptying1. Stop the machine by releasing the paddle (4, Fig. C).2. Lift the brushes/pad-holder by means of the switch (2,Fig. B).3. Lift the squeegee by means of the lever (25, Fig. C).4. Bring the machine to the appointed disposal area.5. Empty the recovery tank by means of the hose (26, Fig.C). After working, rinse the tank with clean water.Solution tank emptying6. Carry out steps 1 to 4.7. Empty the solution tank by means of the hose (27, Fig.C). After working, rinse the tank with clean water.Cylindrical brush debris container emptying (onlyfor cylindrical brush-holder deck)8. Stop the machine by releasing the paddle (4, Fig. C).9. Lower the cylindrical brush-holder deck and remove thedebris container (26, Fig. J) by pulling it on one side bymeans of the handle (27).10. Empty and wash the debris container (26), and theninstall it by engaging it on the retainers.AFTER USING THE MACHINEAfter working, before leaving the machine:1. Remove the brushes/pad-holders according to thefollowing procedure:– Brush/pad-holder: lift the deck and wait for thewarning light on the switch (2, Fig. B) to turn off; thenpress the switch (6, Fig. B) until thebrushes/pad-holder is disengaged.– Cylindrical brushes: lift the deck and wait for thewarning light on the switch (2, Fig. B) to turn off; thenturn the ignition key (10, Fig. B) to “0” to turn off themachine.Unscrew the handwheels (25, Fig. J) and remove thelids (24).Remove the cylindrical brushes (23).Reinstall the lids (24, Fig. J) and screw thehandwheels (25).2. Empty the tanks (5 and 6, Fig. J) and the debriscontainer (26, Fig. J) as shown in the previousparagraph.3. Perform the daily maintenance operations (see theMaintenance chapter).4. Store the machine in a clean and dry place, with thebrushes/pad-holders and the squeegee lifted orremoved.PUSHING/TOWING THE MACHINEWhen it is not possible to use the machine drive, to push/towthe machine easily it is necessary to activate the drive cut-offswitch (36, Fig. C).When the pushing/towing is over, reset the drive by means ofthe switch (36, Fig. C).MACHINE LONG INACTIVITYIf you foresee that the machine will not be used for more than30 days, proceed as follows:1. Perform the operations described in the paragraph AfterUsing The Machine.2. Disconnect the battery red connector (30, Fig. C).FIRST PERIOD OF USEAfter the first period of use (first 8 hours) it is necessary tocarry out the following operations:– Check the fixing and connecting parts for propertightening;– Check the visible parts for integrity and leakage.MAINTENANCEThe lifespan of the machine and its maximum operatingsafety are ensured by correct and regular maintenance.The following chart provides the scheduled maintenance. Theintervals shown may vary according to particular workingconditions, which are to be defined by the person in charge ofthe maintenance.All scheduled or extraordinary maintenance operations mustbe performed by qualified personnel, or by an authorizedService Center.This manual contains the Scheduled Maintenance Table anddescribes only the easiest and most common maintenanceprocedures.WARNING!The operations must be carried out with themachine off and the battery disconnected.Moreover, read carefully the instructions in theSafety chapter before performing anymaintenance operation.NOTE:For other maintenance procedures containedin the Scheduled Maintenance Table or forextraordinary maintenance operations see thespecific Service manual that can be consultedat any Service Center.
