Set the INPUT SELECTOR switch to TUNER.2. Operate the tuner as usual.3. Turn up VOLUME to the desired listening level.4. Adjust tone controls to suit your taste.TURNTABLES1. Set the INPUT SELECTOR switch to PHONO.2. Set the PHONO selector to PHONO 1 orPHONO 2 to select audio from turntables con-nected to the PHONO 1 and/or PHONO 2 jacksrespectively.3. Operate the selected turntable.4. Adjust volume and tone controls for yourpreference.AUX1. Set the INPUT SELECTOR switch to AUX.2. Operate the component or accessory connectedto the AUX jacks.3. Set the TAPE MONITOR switch to A or B to selectoutput from tape decks connected to the TAPE Aor B jacks (The setting of the INPUT SELECTORswitch affects speaker output only when theTAPE switches are set to SOURCE).2. Operate the tape deck.3. Adjust volume and tone for your preference.KA-807(K)MonitoringIf your tape deck is equipped with three heads,you can compare the sound quality of the recordingin progress with that of the source material byswitching the TAPE MONITOR switch betweenSOURCE and A (or B) while the recording is beingmade.Recording (one tape deck)1. Set the INPUT SELECTOR switch to the desiredprogram source. Set the TAPE DUBBING switchto SOURCE. To monitor the recording, set theTAPE MONITOR switch to A or B depending onthe set of jacks to which your tape deck is con-nected.2. Set up your tape deck for recording and setrecording levels with the controls on your tapedeck. The volume control and tone controls onthe amplifier do not affect the signal applied tothe tape deck for recording purposes.3. Adjust listening level and tone at the amplifier foryour preference in monitoring the signal; thesesettings will not affect the recording.Recording (two tape decks)1. Set the INPUT SELECTOR switch to the desiredprogram source.2. Set the TAPE DUBBING switch to SOURCE.3. Recordings can now be made on both tape deckssimultaneously. Either recording can bemonitored by setting the TAPE MONITOR switchto Aor B.4. Recording levels should be set using the controlson the individual tape decks.
