27FleetSync is an Alphanumeric 2-way Paging Function, and isa protocol owned by KENWOOD Corporation. FleetSyncenables a variety of paging functions on your transceiver,some of which depend on dealer programming.SELCALL (SELECTIVE C ALLING )A Selcall is a voice call to a particular station or to a group ofstations.■ T RANSMITTING1 Select your desired zone and channel/ group ID.2 Press the key programmed as Selcall orSelcall + Status to enter Selcall Mode.3 Press the and C> keys, rotate the selector, or enteran appropriate number using the DTMF keypad toselect the ID of the station you want to call.ï Alternatively, press and hold the S or key to enterManual Dialing mode. Using Manual Dialing, you canenter digits with the DTMF keypad or selector. Whenusing the selector, rotate it to select a digit, then press theC> key to accept the digit. Repeat this process until theentire ID is entered.4 Press the PTT switch to make the call or the Side 2key to page the selected recipient.■ RECEIVINGAn alert tone will sound, the transceiver will automaticallyenter Selcall Mode, and the calling stationís ID will appearwhen a Selcall is received.To respond to the call, press the PTT switch and speakinto the microphone.
