What happens when a TV show is blocked?After you’ve set up parental controls, TV shows and moviescan be blocked:● When you change channels and the new channel is playing aprogram whose rating exceeds your settings.● When a new show comes on the channel you are watching andits rating exceeds your settings.When a program is blocked by parental control settings, the TVdisplays a blocked message:Whenever this blocked message appears, both the video andaudio of the show are blocked, as well as program data that wouldnormally appear in the area at the bottom of the screen.To watch the blocked program, you need to know the PIN codedefined when you enabled parental controls, as explained inCreating a parental control PIN L p. 49.1 Press OK to select Unblock and display a PIN pad.2 Use the arrow keys to enter your parental control PIN code,and then press OK to select Unblock everything.After unblocking shows that have been blocked, all blocking isdisabled for two hours or until you turn off the TV.Changing the parental control PINTo change your parental control PIN:1 From the Home screen menu, navigate to Settings > Parentalcontrols, and then enter your parental control PIN.2 In the Parental controls screen, highlight Change PIN.3 Move the highlight into the adjacent keypad, and then use thearrow keys and then press OK to enter a four digit code. Thenrepeat the process to enter the same PIN again, just to makesure you correctly entered the PIN you want to use.Resetting parental controlsSo now your kids have grown up and gone away to college, andyou no longer want to deal with blocked programs.To erase all parental control settings:1 From the Home screen menu, navigate to Settings > Parentalcontrols, and then enter your parental control PIN.2 In the Parental controls screen, highlight Reset parentalcontrols.3 Follow the instructions on the screen to confirm that you wantto erase all parental control settings.Tip(s)● Resetting parental controls also erases your parental controlPIN.52 .English |
