19 ENGLISHMAINTENANCECAUTION: Always be sure to park the machineon lat ground and lock the brake lever before storageor attempting to perform inspections or maintenance.CAUTION: If the rear wheels are installed,make sure that the rear wheel brake is lockedbefore storage, inspections, or maintenance.CAUTION: Always be sure that the lock keyand battery cartridge are removed from the machinebefore storage, inspections, or maintenance.CAUTION: Always remove the lock key whenthe machine is not in use. Store the lock key in asafe place out of reach of children.Periodic checks• Check that the bolts and nuts are tightened irmly.• Check that the carrier is locked when the locklever is fully pulled down.1 2Ź 1. Adjust the brake, or ask yourlocal Makita Service Center for repairs.• Check to see if the front wheel is not damaged orlat. Check that the air in the tire for the front wheelis suficient.Cleaning the machineNOTICE: Never use gasoline, benzine, thinner,alcohol or the like. Discoloration, deformation orcracks may result.NOTICE: Pour the water below the carrier orbucket when cleaning the machine with runningwater. Do not use the high pressure washer forcleaning.Remove mud, dirt, and the like from the machine. Cleanthe machine with running water. After the cleaning, wipethe machine with a dry cloth.StorageRemove the lock key. Store the machine in a safe placeout of the reach of children.When storing the machine, the handles can be turnedtoward the front. Remove the short hexagonal boltsand shoulder bolts using the wrench included in thepackage. Turn the handles toward the outside, and thenrotate the handles to the front.
