Grip 2. Turn baseInstalling the dust extraction hoseConnect the dust extraction hose to the tool asillustrated.Make sure that the elbow and the sleeve fit properly tothe ports of the tool.► Fig.5: 1. Dust extraction hose 2. Elbow 3. Sleeve4. PortBench mountingWhen the tool is shipped, the handle is locked in thelowered position by the stopper pin. While lowering thehandle slightly, pull the stopper pin and rotate it 90°.► Fig.6: 1. Locked position 2. Unlocked position3. Stopper pinThis tool should be bolted with four bolts to a level andstable surface using the bolt holes provided in the tool'sbase. This will help prevent tipping and possible injury.► Fig.7: 1. BoltWARNING: Ensure that the tool will not moveon the supporting surface. Movement of the mitersaw on the supporting surface while cutting mayresult in loss of control and serious personal injury.FUNCTIONALDESCRIPTIONWARNING: Always be sure that the tool isswitched off and the battery cartridge is removedbefore adjusting or checking the functions onthe tool. Failure to switch off and remove the batterycartridge may result in serious personal injury fromaccidental start-up.Installing or removing batterycartridgeCAUTION: Always switch off the tool beforeinstalling or removing of the battery cartridge.CAUTION: Hold the tool and the battery car-tridge firmly when installing or removing batterycartridge. Failure to hold the tool and the batterycartridge firmly may cause them to slip off your handsand result in damage to the tool and battery cartridgeand a personal injury.► Fig.8: 1. Red indicator 2. Battery cartridgeTo remove the battery cartridge, slide it from the toolwhile sliding the button on the front of the cartridge.To install the battery cartridge, align the tongue on thebattery cartridge with the groove in the housing and slipit into place. Insert it all the way until it locks in placewith a little click. If you can see the red indicator on theupper side of the button, it is not locked completely.CAUTION: Always install the battery cartridgefully until the red indicator cannot be seen. If not,it may accidentally fall out of the tool, causing injury toyou or someone around you.CAUTION: Do not install the battery cartridgeforcibly. If the cartridge does not slide in easily, it isnot being inserted correctly.NOTE: The tool does not work with only one batterycartridge.
