SpindleReturning the blade guardReturn the blade guard and center cover to its originalposition. Then tighten the hex socket bolt clockwise tosecure the center cover. Release the handle from theraised position by pulling the stopper pin. Lower thehandle to make sure that the blade guard moves prop-erly. Make sure shaft lock has released spindle beforemaking cut.Connecting a vacuum cleanerWhen you wish to perform clean cutting operation,connect a Makita vacuum cleaner.Dust bag (optional accessory)1 23► 1. Dust bag 2. Dust nozzle 3. FastenerThe use of the dust bag makes cutting operations cleanand dust collection easy. To attach the dust bag, fit itonto the dust nozzle.When the dust bag is about half full, remove the dustbag from the tool and pull the fastener out. Emptythe dust bag of its contents, tapping it lightly so as toremove particles adhering to the insides which mighthamper further collection.Dust box (Optional accessory)123► 1. Dust box 2. Cover 3. ButtonInsert the dust box into the dust nozzle.Empty the dust box at the earliest possible.To empty the dust box, open the cover by pushing thebutton and throw away sawdust. Return the cover tothe original position and it locks.
