18Crown molding stoppers (optional accessories)allow easier cuts of crown molding without tilting thesaw blade. Install them on the turn base as shownin the figures.Fig. B: At right 45° miter angleFig. C: At left 45° miter anglePosition crown molding with its WALL CONTACTEDGE against the guide fence and its CEILINGCONTACT EDGE against the crown molding stop-pers as shown in the figure. Adjust the crown mold-ing stoppers according to the size of the crownmolding. Tighten the screws to secure the crownmolding stoppers. Refer to the table (C) for themiter angle. Use the sub-fence R to secure thecrown molding more firmly.7. Cutting aluminum extrusionWhen securing aluminum extrusions, use spacerblocks or pieces of scrap as shown in the figure toprevent deformation of the aluminum. Use a cuttinglubricant when cutting the aluminum extrusion toprevent build-up of the aluminum material on theblade.CAUTION:• Never attempt to cut thick or round aluminumextrusions. Thick aluminum extrusions may comeloose during operation and round aluminumextrusions cannot be secured firmly with this tool.8. Wood facingUse of wood facing helps to assure splinter-freecuts in workpieces. Attach a wood facing to theguide fence using the holes in the guide fence and6 mm (1/4”) screws.See the figure concerning the dimensions for a sug-gested wood facing.CAUTION:• Use straight wood of even thickness as the woodfacing.• When cutting workpieces from 115 mm (4 -1/2”) to120 mm (4 - 3/4”) high, use a wood facing toprevent a portion of the workpiece near the guidefence from being left uncut.1.
