You mayburn yourself.Remove screws, which secure Lamp Box for the light.Pull out the Lamp Box keeping pushing lightly the upperposition of it as illustrated on the left.Pull out the fluorescent tube and then replace it withMakita original new one.Replacing carbon brushesRemove and check the carbon brushes regularly.Replace when they wear down to the limit mark. Keepthe carbon brushes clean and free to slip in the holders.Both carbon brushes should be replaced at the sametime. Use only identical carbon brushes.Use a screwdriver to remove the brush holder caps. Takeout the worn carbon brushes, insert the new ones andsecure the brush holder caps.After replacing brushes, plug in the tool and break inbrushes by running tool with no load for about 10 min-utes. Then check the tool while running and electricbrake operation when releasing the switch trigger. If elec-tric brake is not working well, ask your local Makita ser-vice center for repair.After use• After use, wipe off chips and dust adhering to thetool with a cloth or the like. Keep the blade guardclean according to the directions in the previouslycovered section titled “Blade guard”.
