Installation Instructions Section 22-6 Part Number 000001196 3/08Installing on a Storage BinLEVELING THE ICE STORAGE BIN1. Screw the leveling legs onto the bottom of the bin.2. Screw the foot of each leg in as far as possible.3. Move the bin into its final position.4. Level the bin to assure that the bin door closes andseals properly. Use a level on top of the bin. Turneach foot as necessary to level the bin.5. Inspect bin gasket prior to ice machine installation.(Manitowoc bins come with closed cell foam gasketinstalled along the top surface of the bin.)6. Install ice machine on bin.Leveling Leg and FootInstalling on a DispenserNugget ice is soft and chewable. This characteristicmakes this ice more difficult to dispense. All dispensermanufacturers require a kit be installed for Nugget typeice. Contact the dispenser manufacturer for the correctadapter and nugget dispensing kit for your specificmodel dispenser. The required kit can vary by dispensersize from the same manufacturer.Failure to install the correct kit and make the necessarymodifications on the dispenser will result in:• Congealed ice which will not dispense and willdamage the ice machine and dispenser• Insufficient ice contact with the cold plate which willresult in an inferior product• A safety issue if ice lifts the adapter or ice machineNUGGET DISPENSING KIT INSTALLATIONPROCEDURE1. Follow the dispenser manufacturers instructions forinstallation of the adapter (if required) and nuggetice kit.2. Make all necessary beverage, electrical and drainconnections to the dispenser.3. Level the dispenser front to back and side to side.4. Install ice machine on dispenser and secure icemachine, dispenser and adapter with providedbrackets.5. Complete water, drain and electrical connections tothe ice machine.! WarningPERSONAL INJURY POTENTIALThe ice machine and adapter must be attached tothe dispenser to prevent the ice machine fromfalling.! CautionIce machines in low volume locations mayexperience congealing. Thermostat kit K00364must be added in these locations to preventdamage to the ice machine and dispenser.
