Thewarranty works as follows:• The Customer calls NEC Customer Serviceand Support at 800-388-8888.• A recorded message will provide a list ofvarious service and support departments.Press the correct number for TechnicalSupport (NOTE: Many times a simpleproblem can be averted by speaking with atechnical support representative first.) If it isdetermined that the printer is defective, thesupport representative will transfer you toanother department to set up the warrantyexchange process.• If you wish to receive a replacement printer byovernight delivery, the service representativewill obtain a major credit card number fromyou, along with your shipping address. Anelectronic credit check will be made in theamount of the current price of the printer. Ifthe defective printer is not returned to NECwithin 30 days, or you cannot prove that yourprinter is still under warranty, your accountwill be debited in this amount.• A replacement printer will be shipped to youby overnight delivery. You will be responsi-ble for paying the return shipping charges.• You must return the defective printer, properlypackaged in the original or replacement printerpackaging, within thirty (30) days or yourcredit card account will be debited for thecurrent price of the Silentwriter SuperScript610plus.
