Inserting the Document SupportsSee figures 1b, 2b and 3b on page III.Remove the document supports from their packaging (whichshould be kept, with the other packing material, in case youneed to repack your printer for relocation).Document support for ASF (figure 1b)With the rounded part of the guide as the top edge, insertthe document support in the slot on the rear of the ASF sothat it slides into the casing.When using the ASF, pull the support upwards so that thedocument format you intend to load is fully sustained (seefigure 1h on page IX).Document support for manual feed (figure 2b)With the adjustable margin guide to the front left, insert thedocument support in the front of the ASF so that it sits in thegrooves at the front and forms a second document insertionchannel.If you use narrow formats in the manual feed, you mustopen and use the intermediate right margin (see figure 1ion page X).Output tray extension (figure 3b)With the flat end towards the printer and the lip at theopposite end facing upwards, insert the tray extensionin the groove in the center of the output tray.Before starting to print, pull out the extension so that thetray accommodates the document format you are printing.The indicator (LTR, A4, LEGAL) should be level with theprint casing (see figure 1h on page IX).Quick Start 3
