NTI ENTERPRISE ENVIRONMENT MONITORING SYSTEM48To change settings for the output relay and whether or not a state change should generate an alert message, click the “Configure”button.Figure 52- Configure Output RelayFrom the configuration page, the user can apply a description of the relay that will be used on the summary page and in any alertmessages sent, if so configured. To have messages sent to specific members, select the monitoring group the relay will belong to.Choose the Normal Status for the relay, between Inactive or Active. When the status changes from what is defined as “normal”,an alert will be sent if so configured. When the relay is in an alert state, the ENVIROMUX can be configured to send an email, syslog and SMS alerts, as well as anSNMP trap to the users subscribing to alerts in the selected group. Place a checkmark in the box for those features you wishto enable. If email alerts is enabled, enter an e-mail subject line that will get the attention of the recipient(s).Note: When the ENVIROMUX is powered OFF with the battery completely drained, each relay will revert to an inactivestate, regardless of the “Normal Status” setting.Once configured, output relays are controlled by their associated sensor and can be programmed to change state (from normally-open to normally-closed or vice versa) on an alert or on the return to normal conditions. Programming is done on the configurationpage of the associated sensor. Each output relay can be associated with any sensor.Note: Do not use more than one input to place the same output relay in two different states. This may causeunpredictable results. If you want more than one sensor to be able to activate a specific output relay, use a Smart Alert configuration (page 81).
