See Chapter 4, “Server Instance File Reference” for further information.Migrating Directory ServerIn earlier versions of the Directory Server (for example, versions 4.1, 4.11, 4.12, and4.13), all configuration parameters were stored in text files. In Directory Server 6.xonwards, configuration attributes are stored as LDAP configuration entries in thedse.ldif file.
