SC6500|Removal and InstallationWarning! Before removing or reinstalling any machine components, make sure the key switchis off and the key is removed from the machine.Install wood blocking or chocks in front of and behind the front drive wheel toprevent the machine from rolling.Brake Cable Replacement1. Remove the floor plateto access the cableassembly at the brakepedal.2. Loosen the Locknut onthe cable end MountingBolt, then remove theMounting Bolt andcable end.3. Loosen the cablecasing Anchor Nutsand pull the cablefree from its mountbracket on the chassis.4. Locate a plastic TieStrap on the lower leftside of the chassis atmidpoint, then cut theTie Strap to free thecable at that point.5. Unclip the cable ClevisYoke at the left brakecaliper at the arm andseparate.6. Loosen the cableAnchor Locknuts atthe Equalizer Yokemounting bracket.The cable assemblyis now completelydisconnected.7. Attach a new cable to the end of the old cable at the brake pedal, then pull the old cable out and pull thenew cable through the chassis.8. Follow the above steps in reverse to reconnect the cable.9. Follow the steps in the Brake Cable Adjustment section below to adjust the brake for correct operation.
