Instruction Manuali-Series Sensors®i-Series Sensors - Rev. 00 as of 28.09.2012 Page 357.4.3 Communication Port ConfigurationIf the i-series HART PC Lite fails to connect to the i-Series Intelligent Sensor youmay need to change the communications port that is being used, to do this ‘click’on the ‘Comport’ menu in the top menu bar and the ‘Comm Port Setup’ windowwill appear, select the appropriate communications port and then close the win-dow.7.5 Parameter Defaults7.5.1 Factory DefaultsWhen first installing the i-Series Intelligent Sensor, or subsequently moving orusing the unit on a new application, before proceeding to program the unit forits intended application it is recommended that you ensure that all parametersare at their default values by completing a Factory Defaults P930, as de-scribed in Chapter 5 Parameter GuideOnce you are satisfied with the installation, and the i-Series Intelligent Sensor isreading what you would expect in terms of distance from the face of the Sensorto the material level, then you can proceed with any programming, required forthe intended application. It is sensible to program all of the required parametersat the same time. The system will be then set-up. |
