With thePOP3 protocol, the options aree-mail headings only ormessages and attachments.See ”E-mail messages” onpage 60.Important: Exercise cautionopening messages.Messages may containmalicious software orotherwise be harmful toyour device or PC.Deleting e-mail messages• To delete an e-mail from thephone while still retaining it inthe remote mailbox:Select Options → Delete →Phone only.The phone mirrors the e-mailheadings in the remote mailbox.So, although you delete themessage content, the e-mailheading stays in your phone. Toremove the heading as well,delete the e-mail message fromyour remote mailbox first andthen make a connection fromyour phone to the remotemailbox again to update thestatus.• To delete an e-mail from both thephone and the remote mailbox:Select Options → Delete →Phone and server.If you are offline, the e-mail isdeleted first from your phone.During the next connection tothe remote mailbox, it isautomatically deleted from theremote mailbox. If you are usingthe POP3 protocol, messagesmarked to be deleted areremoved only after you haveclosed the connection to theremote mailbox.• To cancel deleting an e-mail fromboth the phone and server, scrollto an e-mail that has beenmarked to be deleted during thenext connection, and selectOptions → Undelete.
