If you have not yetused your phone to make a WAPconnection, you may need to contactyour service provider for assistancewith the first-time connection.Many service providers require youto use an IAP for your default accesspoint. Other service providers allowyou to use a WAP access point.Contact your service provider formore information.Start to fill in the settings from thetop since, depending on the dataconnection you select (Data bearer),only certain fields are available.• Connection name - Give adescriptive name for theconnection.• Data bearer - The options areGPRS, Data call or High speed(GSM). Depending on what dataconnection you select, onlycertain setting fields areavailable. Fill in all fields markedwith Must be defined, or with anasterisk. Other fields can be leftempty, unless you have beeninstructed otherwise by yourservice provider.To be able to use a data connection,the network operator or serviceprovider must support this feature,and if necessary, activate it for yourSIM card• Access point name (for packetdata only) - The access pointname is needed to establish aconnection to the GPRS network.You obtain the access point namefrom your network operator orservice provider.• Dial-up number - The modemtelephone number of the accesspoint.• User name - Write a user name ifrequired by the service provider.The user name may be needed tomake a data connection, and isusually provided by the serviceprovider. The user name is oftencase-sensitive.• Prompt password - If you mustenter a new password every timeyou log onto a server, or if you donot want to save your passwordto the phone, choose Yes.
