You mayalso be able to send and receive picturemessages and e-mail messages (networkdependent feature).Note: When sending messages,your device may display thewords “Message Sent.” This is anindication that the message hasbeen sent by your device to themessage center numberprogrammed into your device.This is not an indication that themessage has been received at theintended destination. For moredetails, about messaging services,check with your service provider.• TEXT MESSAGESWrite and send1 At the start screen, select Menu >Messages > Text messages >Create message > Text > Editmessage and press Select.Note: To go quickly to theCreate message display, pressthe Scroll left key from the startscreen.2 After a brief pause, the messageentry screen appears in the display.3 Compose a message using thekeypad and press Options.4 Scroll to Send and press Select.5 Scroll to Add number and pressSelect.6 Enter the recipient’s phone number,or press Find to retrieve a numberfrom your contacts list, and pressOK.TEMPLATESTemplates are short, pre-writtenmessages which can be recalled andinserted into new text messages whenyou’re short on time.1 At the start screen, select Menu >Messages > Text messages >Create message > Text > Editmessage and press Select.2 Press Options, scroll to Usetemplate and press Select.3 Scroll to one of the availabletemplates and press Select.4 Enter the text into your new messageand press Options > Send > Addnumber and press Select.5 Enter the recipient’s phone number,or press Find to retrieve a numberfrom your contacts list, and pressOK.Read and replyWhen you receive a message, your phonebeeps, and Message received and theunopened letter icon ( ) appears in thedisplay.1 Press Show to read the message, orExit to move it to your inbox.When you have unopened messagesin your inbox, is shown in theupper left corner of the start screenas a reminder.Use the scroll keys (the Scroll up keyor the Scroll down key) to view thewhole message if necessary.
