Access codes• Security code (5 to 10 digits):The security code protects yourphone against unauthorised use,and is supplied with the phone.The preset code is 12345. Whenyou have changed the code, keepthe new code secret and in a safeplace separate from your phone.To change the code, and to setthe phone to request it, see”Security settings” on page 49.If you key in an incorrect securitycode five times in succession, thephone may display Code error.Wait for five minutes and key inthe code again.• PIN code and PIN2 code (4 to 8digits): The PIN (PersonalIdentification Number) codeprotects your SIM card againstunauthorised use. The PIN code isusually supplied with the SIMcard.Set the phone to request the PINcode each time the phone isswitched on, see ”Securitysettings” on page 49.The PIN2 code may be suppliedwith the SIM card and is requiredto access some functions, such ascharging unit counters.If you key in an incorrect PINcode three times in succession,the phone may display PIN codeblocked and ask you to key in thePUK code. Contact your serviceprovider to obtain the PUK code.• PUK and PUK2 codes (8 digits):The PUK (Personal UnblockingKey) code is required to change ablocked PIN code. The PUK2 codeis required to change a blockedPIN2 code.If the codes are not supplied withthe SIM card, contact your localservice provider.• Barring password (4 digits): Thebarring password is requiredwhen using the Call barringservice, see ”Security settings” onpage 49. You can obtain thepassword from your serviceprovider.• Module PIN and signing PIN:The module PIN is required toaccess the information in thesecurity module. See ”Securitymodule” on page 76.
