If the speed dial location is empty, anerror message will be displayed.Number 1 is the speed dial location of your voicemailbox. To call your voice mailbox, press 1 andthen , or just press and hold 1.Note: Speed dialling is not possible during a call.Speed search1 Press Memory and key in as many charactersas needed to identify the contact.2 Press Find. The first matching name appearswith the cursor blinking under the lastmatching character you keyed in.3 If the name found was not the one yousearched for, press Next to view the nextmatching name. Note that the Next selectionkey will only show names that match thekeyed in sequence. If the initial character se-quence produced too many matches, key inmore characters and continue from step 2.4 When the name of the contact you want tocall is shown on the display, press .Last number redialThe communicator stores the phone numbersyou dial, i.e., call or attempt to call. In each menu andsubmenu, you can check and alter the setting ofany particular function. The menus and submen-us can be entered by scrolling the menu or usingappropriate menu shortcuts.You can access the menu functions even duringa call.Menu scrolling1 Press Menu to enter the menu facility. Thedisplay will read View menu.2 Press either or to scroll the list of men-us until you reach the desired menu.3 Press Select to enter the menu. If the menucontains any submenus, reach the one youwant with or .4 Press Select. The current setting of the functionis indicated on the display by the pointer .5 Press or to scroll the list of setting op-tions until the pointer points to the desiredoption.6 Press OK to select the option. If you don’twant to change the setting after all, you canreturn to the previous menu level by pressingQuit.Pressing or pressing and holding Quit will exitthe menu facility.
