SyncML technology for remote synchronisation. Forinformation on SyncML compatibility, contact thesupplier of the applications with which you want tosynchronise your device.You may receive the synchronisation settings as amessage from your service provider. The availableapplications you can synchronise may vary. Contactyour service provider for more information.Create a synchronisationprofileThere is a Nokia PC Suite synchronisation profileavailable in your device. You do not need to edit it ifyou synchronise your device with a computer usingNokia PC Suite.To create a new profile, select Options > New syncprofile and assign a name for the profile, select theapplications to synchronise with the profile, andspecify the needed connection settings. Contact yourservice provider for details.Mobile VPNSelect Menu > Tools > Settings > Connection >VPN.The Nokia mobile virtual private network (VPN) clientcreates a secure connection to compatible corporateintranet and services, such as e-mail. Your deviceconnects from a mobile network, through the internet,to a corporate VPN gateway that acts as a front door tothe compatible corporate network. VPN client uses IPSecurity (IPSec) technology. IPSec is a framework ofopen standards for supporting secure exchange of dataover IP networks.VPN policies define the method used by the VPN clientand a VPN gateway to authenticate each other, and theencryption algorithms that they use to help protect theconfidentiality of data. Contact your company's ITdepartment for a VPN policy.To install and configure the VPN client, certificates, andpolicies, contact the IT administrator of yourorganisation.Manage VPNSelect VPN, and from the following:• VPN policies — Install, view, and update VPNpolicies.• VPN policy servers — Edit the connection settingsof VPN policy servers from which you can install andupdate VPN policies. A policy server refers to a NokiaSecurity Service Manager (NSSM), which is notnecessarily required.• VPN log — View the log for your VPN policyinstallations, updates and synchronisations, andother VPN connections.Create VPN access pointsSelect Settings > Connection > Destinations.An access point is where your phone connects to thenetwork by way of WLAN or packet data connection.
