Nokia MapsFor more information on Maps, see the extended userguide on the product support pages of the Nokiawebsite.About MapsWith Maps, you can see your current location on themap, browse maps of different cities and countries,search for places, plan routes from one location toanother, save locations, and send them to compatibledevices. You can also purchase licences for trafficinformation and navigation services, if available foryour country or region.When you use Maps for the first time, you may need toselect an internet access point for downloading maps.If you browse to an area which is not covered by mapsalready downloaded in your device, a map for the areais automatically downloaded through the internet.Some maps may be available in your device or on amemory card. You can also use the Nokia Map LoaderPC software to download maps. To install Nokia MapLoader to a compatible PC, see www.nokia.com/maps.Tip: To avoid data transfer costs, you can also useMaps without an internet connection, andbrowse the maps that are saved in your deviceor memory card.Note: Downloading content such as maps,satellite images, voice files, guides or trafficinformation may involve transmission of largeamounts of data (network service).Almost all digital cartography is inaccurate andincomplete to some extent. Never rely solely on thecartography that you download for use in this device.Network positioningSelect Menu > Maps.You can use the mobile network to find your currentlocation, even indoors. This is faster but less accuratethan with GPS, and you cannot use the location as astarting point for navigation.To use the mobile network for positioning, select thenetwork-based positioning method from the devicesettings.
