A login is permitted only if a match is made withthe master list contained within the NSE. If a match is not made, the login is denied, even if acorrect login name and password are supplied.The access control list supports up to 50 (fifty) entries in the form of a specific IP address orrange of IP addresses.The NSE also offers access control based on the interface being used. This feature allowsadministrators to block access from Telnet, Web Management, and FTP sources.Administration can now be performed after unblocking the interfaces for the Subscriber side ofthe NSE.
