You can specifyport-based monitoring or address-based monitoring. In a stack configuration, youcan monitor ports that reside on different units within the stack.For more information about the port mirroring feature, see Chapter 1.Figure 78 shows an example of a Port Mirroring Configuration screen, in a stackconfiguration, where port 12 (in stack unit 3) is designated as the monitoring portfor ports 5 and 6 of stack unit 4. When installed as a standalone switch, the screendoes not display the (Unit/) field designation.To open the Port Mirroring Configuration screen:➨ Choose Port Mirroring Configuration (or press i) from the SwitchConfiguration Menu screen.Last 30 Minutes This read-only field indicates the percentage of packets (of the type specified in theTraffic Type field) utilized by the port in the last 30 minutes. This field provides arunning average of network activity and is updated every 15 seconds.Last Hour This read-only field indicates the percentage of packets (of the type specified in theTraffic Type field) utilized by the port in the last 60 minutes.
