130 About the Nortel Ethernet Routing Switch 4500 SeriesAgent Auto Unit ReplacementUse the enhancement to the Auto Unit Replacement functionality, knownas Agent Auto Unit Replacement (AAUR), to ensure that all units in a stackhave the same software image by inspecting units joining a stack anddownloading the stack software image to any unit that has a dissimilarimage. AAUR is enabled by default.Agent Auto Unit Replacement functions in the following manner:1. When a stand-alone switch joins an AAUR-enabled stack, the switchsoftware image is inspected.2. If the switch software image differs from the stack software image, theAAUR functionality downloads the stack software image to the joiningunit.3. The joining unit is then reset and becomes a member of the stack upona reboot.Use the CLI commands in the following sections to manage and configureAAUR.
