Use one of thefollowing procedures to remove the main unit:• “To remove a rackmounted main unit”• “To remove a wallmounted main unit”• “To remove a desktop mounted main unit” on page 176To remove a rackmounted main unit1 Ensure that all of the cables are removed from the main unit.If they are not, refer to “To disconnect the cables” on page 174.2 If there is a unit mounted to the top of the main unit, slide that unit forward until it disengagesfrom the clips on the main unit. Lift the unit off of the top of the main unit.3 If the main unit has been secured to the rackmount shelf with screws, remove these screwsfrom the bottom of the rackmount shelf.4 Slide the main unit forward until is disengages from the clips on the rackmount shelf.5 Lift the main unit off of the rackmount shelf and set it on a flat, clean, static-free surface.6 Continue to the next step, “Installing the new main unit” on page 176.To remove a wallmounted main unit1 Ensure that all of the cables are removed from the main unit.If they are not, refer to “To disconnect the cables” on page 174.2 Lift the main unit up until it disengages from the clips on the wallmount bracket.3 Pull the main unit out and away from the wallmount bracket.4 Set the main unit on a flat, clean, static-free surface.5 Continue to the next step, “Installing the BCM50 unit on the wall” on page 84.Warning: Leakage currentsYou must disconnect the telephony and data networking cables from the systembefore disconnecting the power cord from a grounded outlet.
