April 2006• For a single server order, the security lock ID number is the Nortel order number (orNTI number) combined with 01, for example: NTI# + 01: NTI12345601• For multi-server orders, the master security lock ID will be NTI # + 01, the 1st slaveserver will be NTI# + 02 and the second slave would be NTI# + 03:o NTI1234501 - mastero NTI1234502 - 1st slaveo NTI1234503 - 2nd slaveAuto-File SynchronizationAutomatic file synchronization is performed so that every server will have the same set of files toensure that each server is capable of providing the same services that are available on the Masterserver. By automating this function, the user would not need to search for the location of all thedifferent files and then manually copy them across to each of the slave servers thus simplifying theprocess.Synchronization via Voice Configuration Module1. Synchronization is only necessary in a multi-server configuration2. Synchronization will begin when the Save button is clicked3. Only the affected INI file/s will be synchronized based on the form being opened and modifiedexcept for ‘Cascading Server Setup’, where all relevant INI files will be copied across to theother servers4. For certain changes where a system restart is required (as indicated via a pop-upmessage), then all systems have to be restarted. Refer to Chapter 7: “SystemShutdown/Startup Sequence” on Page 104 for further details5. In order for synchronization to be executed, it first needs to locate the slave servers byattempting to ping each server’s IP. Only when it is able to establish a connection to theservers will synchronization start. This connection checking is done upon clicking Save6. Each server’s IP address is saved in the IP.ini file, which will be copied across all servers as areference for when synchronization is initiated by a slave server7. However, the system will first identify the slave server’s own IP so that it would skip itself as arecipient of the files being copied when it goes through the list of IP addresses in the IP.ini fileBelow is the list of .INI files that will be synchronized:a) Entryb) Atlasc) COSd) Officee) Holidayf) AWUg) AWUrpth) Customeri) IPj) PMSIk) ChargesSynchronization via AA Module1. AA flow creation/configuration module can only be accessed from the Master server2. Synchronization will only start upon saving an entire AA flow (not a layer within a flow)3. The process is instantaneous and is not service impacting. Therefore, no shutdown of any ofthe servers is needed4. Only the particular flow’s files (both .flc and .da) will be copied to the other servers5. Before an AA flow can be deleted, a new checking function will be implemented to ensure thatthe entry point corresponding to that AA flow must first be deleted.
