April 2006There are 3 Password formats to choose from. Thisonly applies to Guests. Admin users’ defaultPassword is their extension number. The Date Format selection box will only appearwhen Check In Date is selected. Choose from either‘mmdd’ or ‘ddmm’.Some Hotel PMS is able to send a randomlygenerated PIN appended to the Guest Name field ina check in record. This option is to capture thatinformation. The PIN normally begins after the first “in the name field and that constitutes Position 1.Length is typically 4 as it is a 4-digit PIN.By default the system will not play out the currentPIN of a mailbox in the Feature Menu’s PIN changemenu. Check this option to enable itsannouncement. This will insert a welcome message into all newlychecked-in guests’ mailbox. Message will only beplayed once on first access of the mailbox. When this is enabled, the welcome promptbecomes an Introductory Prompt which will beplayed on every access. This also negates the needto turn on the MWL thus it is grayed-out.This can only be enabled when the first option hasbeen selected. Activating this means that thesystem will send an MWL ON command to theswitch when a welcome message has been sent. The option to Play Prompt At Each Access will nolonger be available once this is selected..Auto Attendant Time Of Day and Holiday SetupPart of configuring the Auto Attendant is to define the various Time Periods within a day for thewhole week. The system will read the information set here to play the appropriate greeting promptaccording to the time of the call. The system covers up to 6 periods (5 here plus Holiday). Typically, the prompt for Period 1 is the same as Period 5 and Period 2 has the same prompt as Period 4.Non-working days like weekdays are normally set with Period 1 covering the whole day (0000-2359).See the HMS 400 Administration Guide (document number NN42350-600) Page 40 for details onsetting up Auto Attendant call flows.Nortel Hospitality Messaging Server 400 -86-Installation and Configuration Guide
