April 2006to prevent the occurrence of an AA call being disrupted because someone deleted it withoutknowing that it is currently in useNote: It is highly recommended that AA flow changes be made only during allocated maintenancewindows (either very early in the morning or very late at night) when there is virtually no AA callscoming in. This is because changes to the flow will take immediate effect without the need torestart the system. Therefore, during peak periods, callers might experience sudden promptchange, option loss, or worse, call cut-off because someone just happened to be editing thatparticular AA flowSynchronization via TUI Prompt Recording1. Synchronization will take place as soon as recording is completed2. The process is instantaneous and is not service impacting. Therefore, no shutdown of any ofthe servers is needed3. The system will copy the prompt from the respective language folder (following the linelanguage) where it is being saved to the same language folder on the other serversSynchronization via Minibar Item Prompt Recording1. Synchronization will take place as soon as recording is completed2. The process is instantaneous and is not service impacting. Therefore, no shutdown of any ofthe servers is needed3. The system will copy the prompt from the respective language folder (following the linelanguage) where it is being saved to ALL the language folders on the other serversSynchronization via Prompt Maintenance in Room Status GUI1. Synchronization will start upon saving of a mapped prompt2. The process is instantaneous and is not service impacting. Therefore, no shutdown of any ofthe servers is needed3. The Browse button will now automatically bring the user to the current language folder (asconfigured for the lines). This is to ease the user in finding the recorded prompts. The need forthis arose because now the system is intelligent enough to save the prompts recorded via TUIin the same language folder as the language of the channel used4. The system will copy the prompt from the respective language folder (following the linelanguage) where it is being saved to the same language folder on the other serversSynchronization for Welcome Prompt1. Welcome prompt can be recorded using the hidden option (key 4) in the TUI Main menu. The user would need to input the language code (2 digits) following that. For instance:- Call TUI Access DN- Enter Password- Main Menu prompt will be played- Press 401 (4 to access hidden option and 01 for English)- Start recording- Press 1 to confirm and then hang up- Synchronization starts (No restart of any servers needed)2. By having a separate recording menu for welcome prompt as well as user specifying thelanguage code, the system will be able to automate the naming and subsequent moving of theprompt to the correct language folder. This will overcome the current hassle of the user havingto manually rename the prompt from nnnn.x40 to welcome.x40 and then moving to itsrespective language folder, which they may or may not knowNortel Hospitality Messaging Server 400 -63-Installation and Configuration Guide
