58 Chapter 5 Setting up IP telephonesN0075588N0075588Configuring DHCP settingsTo configure DHCP settings for SRG operation1 In Element Manager, navigate to Configuration > Data Services > DHCP Server.2 Select the DHCP Settings tab.3 On the DHCP Mode pull-down menu, select DHCP Server.4 Select the Subnets tab.5 Select the row of the subnet you want to configure.6 On the Details for Subnet Name subpanel select the General Settings tab.7 From the WINS node type pull-down menu and select H-node.8 In the Default gateway field, enter an address that meets the requirements of the SRG LAN.9 In the Lease time field, enter a value that meets the requirements of your system.Leave all other fields under the General Settings tab blank.10 Select the Address Ranges tab and add a range of IP address to meet the requirements of yoursystem.11 Select the IP Terminal DHCP Options tab.12 On the Primary Terminal Proxy Server (S1) and Secondary Terminal Proxy Server (S2)subpanels:a In the IP address field, enter the IP address of the SRG.b On the Port pull-down menu, select SRG.c In the Retry count field, enter the number of retries that the IP telephone is allowed toconnect to the SRG before an event is generated (refer to “IP terminal details” on page 84).Call forwarding optionsThere are two options for configuring call forwarding on the SRG:• The target DN is determined by the BUID.In this case, the information required for call forwarding is entered using the SRG-specificpanels of Element Manager (Configuration > Resources > Survivable Remote Gateway).Refer to “CS 1000 considerations” on page 33.Note: Call forwarding is mandatory.
