Scanner unit operating information > 74AVOIDING INCOMPATIBILITY SITUATIONSIt is possible to request your MFP to carry out instructions that would involve mediaincompatibilities e.g. if you are copying an A4 original with the Reduce/Enlarge setting at141% (A4 to A3) and the (printer unit) Tray Selection set at Tray 1 containing A4 media.The MFP will detect such situations and issue a message to indicate that your request hasbeen cancelled referring you to this guide.To avoid an incompatibility such as the above, make sure that your chosen image size fitson the media size in the selected printer unit tray.Other incompatibilities can arise in connection with punching and stapling requests andinformation to help you avoid such requests is presented in “Appendix D – Media supportinformation” on page 146.Information about document sizes that can be scanned either on the document glass or inthe ADF when using the default Auto setting is provided in “Appendix E – Auto detectionpaper sizes” on page 150.
