This includes:> additional RAM memory> paper tray(s) and storage cabinet assembly:M EMORY UPGRADEThis section explains how to install additional RAM memory into your MFP as a memoryupgrade.The model comes equipped with 512MB (256MB + 256MB) of main memory. This can beupgraded with an additional memory board containing 512MB, giving a total memorycapacity of 768MB maximum.1. Switch the MFP off and disconnect the power cable. Refer to “Switching off” onpage 17 for details. Always follow the correct procedure to ensure that no HDD datais lost.2. Pull open the access panel on the side of the machine.3. Carefully remove the new memory board from its wrapping. Try to handle the boardonly by its short edges, avoiding contact with any metal parts as far as possible. Inparticular, avoid touching the edge connector.Notice that the memory board has a small cutout in the edge connector, which iscloser to one end than the other.4. Identify the RAM expansion slot in the machine.Configuration A: One paper tray and tallstorage cabinetModel No: N34234AConfiguration B: Two paper trays andshort storage cabinetModel No: N34235ANOTEThe maximum capacity of your machine is 768MB, therefore the existing256MB board must be removed from the RAM expansion slot before the newmemory upgrade board can be fitted. |
