Choosing Parallel or SerialChoosing Parallel or SerialYour Pacemark 3410 has both a parallel and a serial port. All you have to do is decide which oneyou want to use. You can only use one of them at a time.When you take the printer out of the box, there will be a metal plate over the serial port. If you wantto use the parallel port, just plug in your cable and fasten the clips to it.If you want to use the serial interface, loosen the metal plate with a Phillips screwdriver and slide itto the right to uncover the serial port. Plug your cable into the serial port and tighten the screws.You can fasten the metal plate over the parallel port to eliminate confusion in the future.You can fasten the metal plate over the parallel port to eliminate confusion in the future.
