14.Control pad and its buttonsTo adjust the image in the horizontal or verticaldirection (panning or tilting), left-click the pad andthe buttons.The more the outside of the pad is clicked, thefaster the camera operates. Adjustment is alsopossible by dragging the mouse.Right-click the pad to initiate zooming andfocusing.When the top half of the pad is clicked in the upor down direction, the zoom (magnification) isadjusted in the Tele direction; conversely, whenthe bottom half of the pad is clicked, the zoom isadjusted in the Wide direction.When the left half of the pad is clicked in the leftor right direction, the focus is adjusted in the Neardirection; conversely when the right half of thepad is clicked, the focus is adjusted in the Fardirection. The zooming can also be adjusted byoperating the mouse wheel.• When the mouse is used for dragging and dropping from the controlpad area to a position outside this area, the panning, tilting andother operations will not stop.In a case like this, click the control pad area to stop theseoperations.15.Brightness [Brightness][-]Use this to make the image darker.It does not work during automatic adjustments.[+]Use this to make the image lighter.It does not work during automatic adjustments.[Auto]Use this to switch the brightness adjustment between autoand manual. When Auto is selected, the picture brightnessis adjusted automatically.16.Speed [Speed][Slow]Use this to select the speed at which the pan, tilt, zoom,focus, and brightness operations are to be performed.17.Preset [Preset][Home]When the preset position is selected from the pull-downmenu and the [Move] button is clicked, the cameradirection moves to the preset position which wasregistered ahead of time.Preset positions are registered on the preset positionscreen.[Move]The camera direction moves to the preset position whichis now selected on the pull-down menu.The settings that are reproduced at this position are thesettings which were established on the [Preset Scope]menu (→ page 56, page 82, page 84).The camera direction moves to the home position if[Home] has been selected on the pull-down menu.In such cases, the image output during movement to thehome position will not freeze, regardless of the [FreezeDuring Preset] setting.18.Scene [Scene][Scene1]Select a shooting mode from the pull-down menu, andclick the [Set] button to switch to the selected mode.[Set]The shooting mode switches to the one selected in thepull-down menu.19.Full-screen display buttonDisplay the image in full-screen mode.When the image displayed in the main area iscompressed, clicking this once displays the image at thecorrect resolution in the main area. When the image isdisplayed at the correct resolution, the image is displayedin full-screen mode. To return to the Live screen, pressthe [Esc] key on the personal computer while the image isdisplayed in full-screen mode.The aspect ratio of the displayed image will be adjustedaccording to the monitor size.20.Snapshot buttonCapture a snapshot (single still image), and display it in aseparate window. A menu appears when you right-click theimage, and you can select [Save] to save the image to thepersonal computer.You can also click [Print] to output from a printer.• The following settings may be necessary.In the Internet Explorer menu bar, click [Tools] - [Internet Options] -[Security] tab, select [Trusted Sites], and then click [Sites]. Registerthe camera’s address under [Websites] in the window that appears.• Depending on the network environment, for example, if snapshotcapture takes longer than a certain amount of time, the image maynot appear.21.Audio buttonTurn the audio on/off.
