122Dealing with Problems (Advanced) SoundThe sound is not heard z Try changing the mute by pressing Fn+F4 or Fn+F6.Volume does not change whenFn+F5 or Fn+F6 is pressedz If the Windows sound function is not active, the volume will not change even ifis displayed.The audio is distorted z Audio distortion may occur when operations are performed by pressing Fn incombination with another key. Stop playing and start again.When starting Sound Recorder, itdisplays the message: "There was anerror updating the registry"z Sound Recorder displays this error message when started by a user with alimited account if the user's language setting is different to that of the user withthe administrator authority which last started it. This will not affect the operationof the computer. Fast User Switching FunctionSome applications may not workproperlyz When switching to a different user with the Fast User Switching function, thefollowing problems may occur.• Some applications may not work properly• Key combination with Fn may not work.• It may not be possible to set the settings of the display.• A serial mouse may not work.• Wireless LAN may be used.In this case, log off all users without using Fast User Switching function, and trythe operation once more. If the problem persists, restart the computer. OthersNo response z Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager and close the softwareapplication which is not responding.z Is there an input screen (e.g., password input screen at startup) hidden behindanother window? Use Alt+Tab to check for other windows being displayed.z After shutting down by sliding the power switch for more than four seconds,slide the power switch to power on and open the application again.
