3011.3 Outdoor Unit11.3.1 Install the Outdoor Unit After selecting the best location, start installationaccording to Indoor/Outdoor Unit InstallationDiagram.1 Install at least 3 cm above the ground. Do notinstall the unit on the floor.2 Fix the unit on concrete or rigid frame firmly andhorizontally by bolt (ø10 mm). Install theoutdoor unit in a level position and do not blockthe holes. Failure to do so may result in waterleakage or accumulation.3 When installing at roof, please consider strongwind and earthquake. Please fasten theinstallation stand firmly with bolt or nails.11.3.2 Connect the PipingConnecting the Piping to Indoor UnitPlease make flare after inserting flare nut (locate at jointportion of tube assembly) onto the copper pipe. (In caseof using long piping)Connect the piping Align the center of piping and sufficiently tighten theflare nut with fingers. Further tighten the flare nut with torque wrench inspecified torque as stated in the table.Connecting the Piping to Outdoor UnitDecide piping length and then cut by using pipe cutter.Remove burrs from cut edge. Make flare after insertingthe flare nut (locate at valve) onto the copper pipe.
