Phonebook20Using the phonebookThe handset phonebook allows you tomake calls without having to dial manually.You can add 50 names and phonenumbers to the handset phonebook andsearch for phonebook entries by name.Adding items to the phonebook1 Press {Phonebook}.2 Press {Add}.L The display shows the number ofitems in the phonebook.3 Enter the name (max. 16 characters).See the character table for entry.4 Press {Next}.5 Enter the phone number (max. 32digits).L If a pause is required when dialling,press {PAUSE} where needed (page19).6 Press {Next}.L If you want to change the name andnumber, press {Edit}, then repeatfrom step 3.7 Press {Save}.L To add other items, repeat from step2.8 Press {OFF}.To store emergency numbersEmergency numbers are numbers storedin the phonebook that can be dialled usingthe phonebook even when dial lock isturned on (page 33).To store a number as an emergencynumber, add # at the beginning of thename (see “Adding items to thephonebook”).Character tableThe dial keys can be used to entercharacters. To enter a character, press theappropriate dial key, repeatedly ifnecessary.
