Walk closer to the base unit, and tryagain.≥The called handset/base unit is in use.≥The handset you tried to send directoryitems to is in use.≥The handset you are calling is too far fromthe base unit.≥The Privacy mode is on for the call you triedto join (p. 57).≥The called handset has not been registeredto the base unit or you selected yourextension number.≥You pressed (9) instead of entering anextension number. Enter the extensionnumber ((0) to (8)) to call.≥When you tried to register or deregister thehandset, the handset and the base unitcould not link for some reason, such asinterference from other electrical appliances.Take the handset and the base unit awayfrom the electrical appliances and try again.≥If more than one handset is in use, you maynot be able to register/deregister.
