3 Message Playbackand Related Features3.1 Playing MessagesCallers and other subscribers can leavemessages for you, and you can play themback later after you have logged in to yourmailbox.Messages in your mailbox are divided into3 types:• New Messages:Messages in your mailbox which youhave not played back yet.• Old Messages:Messages in your mailbox which youhave played back but have not yetdeleted.• Deleted Messages:Messages in your mailbox which youhave deleted. You can "recover" yourdeleted messages, after which they willbe treated as old messages (see5.21 Recovering Deleted Messages). Ifyou do not recover deleted messages,they will be permanently deleted at theend of the day.When playing back a message, the VPScan also announce the message’s"envelope"—the date and time of themessage, and the message sender’sinformation.1.
