• If you want to improve the charge of a BatteryPack whose operation time has become tooshort for practical use or which has been storedfor a long time, continue charging for 24 hourseven after the [CHARGE] Lamp on the ACAdaptor goes out. (If this does not result in anoperation time close to that shown in the table,the service life of this Battery Pack has reachedits end. Replace it with a new one.)•To prevent leakage, excessive rise intemperature and explosion, be sure to observethe following points:1) Use only the specified AC Adaptor or CarBattery Charger to charge the Battery Pack.2) Do not store or carry the Battery Pack withany metal objects that may accidentally shortacross the terminals.• Do not charge the Battery Pack again whenit is already fully charged.• During use on the Movie Camera and duringcharging, the Battery Pack may becomewarm. Do not chargethe Battery Pack if it is not discharged, because to doso would shorten the recording time that it canprovide.•The figures in the table above are based on anambient temperature of 25°C.•The use of the zoom and other functions increase thepower consumption, so that the actual recording timeper Battery Pack is 30%-50% less than forcontinuous recording.•Charge the Battery Pack at a room temperaturebetween 10° and 35°C.The Battery Pack’s ability to generate electric energyis based on a chemical reaction. Because thisreaction can take place better at high temperature,the maximum recording time may be considerablyshorter when recording at low temperature.• If the Movie Camera has turned off automaticallybecause the Battery Pack has become exhausted,remove the Battery Pack before connecting the DCInput Cable of the AC Adaptor to the Movie Camerato continue recording, otherwise the Movie Cameracannot be turned on.j 13 Basic Operations
