42Playback Mode• It may not be possible to use a Card formatted bythis Camcorder on another unit. In this case, formatthe Card on the unit which will use the Card. Makesure that valuable pictures are stored on your PCbefore proceeding.• Normally, it is not necessary to format the card. Ifa message appears even though you insert andremove the card several times, format it.• If the SD Memory Card is formatted on otherequipment, the time spent for recording may becomelonger.If the SD Memory Card is formatted on a PC, itcannot be used on the Camcorder.Format the SD Memory Card on the Camcorder, inthis case.• The Camcorder supports SD Memory Cardsformatted in FAT12 system and FAT16 systembased on SD Memory Card Specifications.Formatting a CardIf a Card becomes unreadable by the Camcorder,format it for reuse.
