Before Use-15-≥Insert the plug securely into the [REMOTE]Jack as far as it will go. A loose connectionwill affect normal operation.The Remote Controllerª Inserting a Button-type BatteryBefore using the Remote Controller, insert thesupplied button-type battery.1 While pressing the Lock Button 1, pull outthe Battery Holder.2 Insert the button-type battery with the (i)marking facing upwards.3 Insert the Battery Holder into the RemoteController.≥When the button-type battery is exhausted,replace it with a new CR2025 battery. (A batteryis normally expected to last about 1 year.However, it depends on operation frequency.)≥Make sure to match the poles correctly wheninserting the battery.WarningDanger of explosion if battery isincorrectly replaced.Replace only with the same or equivalenttype recommended by the equipmentmanufacturer. Discard used batteriesaccording to manufacturer’s instructions.Risk of fire, explosion and burns. Do notrecharge, disassemble, heat above 212°F(100°C) or incinerate. Keep theButton-Type battery out of the reach ofchildren. Never put Button-Type batteryin mouth. If swallowed, call your doctor.Replace battery with Panasonic PART NO.CR2025 only. Use of another battery maypresent a risk of fire or explosion.Caution: Battery may explode if mistreated.Dispose of used battery promptly. Keepaway from children.Do not recharge, disassemble or dispose ofin fire.1ª Using the Remote Controller1 Direct the Remote Controller at the RemoteControl Sensor (33) of the Palmcorder andpress an appropriate button.≥Distance from the Palmcorder: Withinapproximately 15 feet (5 meters)≥Angle: Approximately 15o in the vertical andhorizontal directions from the centralaxis≥The above operating ranges are for indoor use.Outdoors or under strong light, the Palmcordermay not operate properly even within the aboveranges.≥Within a 3 feet (1 meter) range, you can alsouse the Remote Controller on the LCD Monitorside of the Palmcorder.Selecting Remote Controller ModesWhen 2 Palmcorders are used simultaneously,they can be operated individually by selectingdifferent Remote Controller Modes.≥If the Remote Controller Mode of thePalmcorder and that of the Remote Controllerdo not match, [REMOTE] Indication isdisplayed.Setup on the Palmcorder:Set [REMOTE] on the [INITIAL] Sub-Menu to thedesired Remote Controller Mode.
