You cannot record on a card whenrecording on a tape from external input signalsis in progress.Recording to a CardIf you set the Mode Dial to Card Recording Mode,you can use the Photoshot function for externalinput signals.≥Black streaks may appear at the 4 edges of theimage.Analog-Digital Conversion≥When the Palmcorder is connected with otherdigital video equipment through its DV Terminal,images recorded in analog form from otherexternal equipment can be output to the digitalvideo equipment through the DV Terminal.≥To DV-output analog video signals sent fromother equipment, set [DV OUT] on the[AV IN/OUT] Sub-Menu to [ON]. (Normally,keep the [DV OUT] set to [OFF]. If it is set to[ON], the quality of the image may bedisturbed.)≥When using AV Cable and DV Cable (optional)at the same time, detach the Grip Belt first foreasy connecting.ª Using the DV Cable for Recording(Digital Dubbing)≥Regardless of the setting, digital dubbing iscarried out automatically in the same audiorecording mode as that of the playbackCassette.≥The images on the recorded monitor may bedisturbed, but it does not affect the recordedimages.≥Even if Playback Digital Effects, PlaybackZoom, or Playback Title In have been used,these effects are not output from the DVTerminal.≥Even if you use a device equipped with DVTerminals, you may not be able to performDigital Dubbing in some cases.≥Date or other information to be displayed cannotbe displayed if the software of the connectedequipment does not support the displayfunction.≥You cannot record on a tape when MPEG4recording from external input signals is inprogress. (-16-, -19-)5 To protect the Lens, attach the suppliedLens Cap.ª Cautions for UseWhen you use your Palmcorder on a rainy orsnowy day or on a beach, make sure that nowater enters the Palmcorder.≥Water may cause the Palmcorder or Cassette tomalfunction. (Irreparable failure may occur.)≥If sea water splashes onto the Palmcorder, weta soft cloth with tap water, wring it well, and useit to wipe the camera body carefully. Then, wipeit again thoroughly with a soft dry cloth.Keep the Palmcorder away from magnetizedequipment (such as a microwave oven, TV,video game equipment, etc.).≥If you use the Palmcorder on or near a TV,images or sounds may be disturbed due toelectromagnetic wave radiation.≥Do not use near a cell phone because doing somay cause noise to adversely affect the pictureand sound.≥Recordings on the tape may be damaged, orimages may be distorted, by strong magneticfields created by speakers or large motors.≥Electromagnetic wave radiation generated by amicroprocessor may adversely affect thePalmcorder, causing the disturbance of imagesand sounds.≥If the Palmcorder is affected by magneticallycharged equipment and does not functionproperly, turn off the Palmcorder power anddetach the Battery or AC Adaptor and thenconnect the Battery or AC Adaptor again.Thereafter, turn on the Palmcorder power.Do not use your Palmcorder near radiotransmitters or high-voltage cables.≥If you record pictures near radio transmitters orhigh-voltage cables, recorded images or soundsmay be adversely affected.Do not use this Palmcorder for surveillancepurposes or other business use.≥If you use the Palmcorder for a long period oftime, the internal temperature increases and,consequently, this may cause malfunction.≥This Palmcorder is not intended for businessuse.
